Transmission Owners (TOs) have been proposing a growing number of asset condition projects (ACPs) to refurbish deteriorating transmission facilities. Historically, 黑料网 has had limited involvement in the TOs’ ACP proposals and is supportive of state and stakeholder requests for the development of a robust process for additional, independent review of ACP proposals.
With certain boundary conditions established in conjunction with state and TO representatives in 2025 regarding the ISO’s role in ACPs, 黑料网 committed to take on an advisory role as Asset Condition (AC) Reviewer, with the goal of having the initial establishment of the permanent AC Reviewer role in place by January 2027.
Concurrent to developing the permanent process in 2025-2026, and in agreement with stakeholder requests to begin reviewing ACPs on an interim basis, the ISO is overseeing reviews of selected ACPs and facilitating stakeholder discussion of the findings.
